Upon completion of this pour, i was informed by Ethan Kovatch they would be back to remove remainder of form and that it would be 2 - 3 weeks when a third party would return to apply staining/highlighting and sealing...we've surpassed three weeks, working on fourth since patio was poured and 2/3 of form remains intact, several area's (large globs) of concrete remain from seapage under form (i was told these would be removed); form materials that were removed remain in my back yard...killing my grass, and there has been ZERO contact from anyone (Mt. Olive or third party) regarding when staining/highlights and sealing will be completed...i understand it is imperative to ensure concrete is fully cured and dry prior to sealing, but no one has contacted me or been back to verify present condition of slab. Failure to contact or follow-up can greatly reduce Mt. Olives credibility with this and future projects...i hope this isn't the case.

- Wow! I am seriously blown away by the quality and professionalism we experienced from start to finish with Mt. Olive Concrete. Rodney, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. He is kind, prompt in his responses, knowledgeable, patient, fair, and just a great person. The crew that completed the job was amazing. They arrived before the scheduled work time and promptly began when I was told they would. They all smiled and waved and seemed genuinely happy and eager to start the job. I watched them throughout the day and couldn't believe how they did it all. We had approximately 540 sqft of concrete that needed to be torn out and replaced. These men are so strong and such hard workers! They made it look effortless. They started at 8am and finished around 6pm, leaving the yard and sidewalk/ street very clean. They ensured our sprinkler system worked properly and even fixed things that had nothing to do with the driveway! They were so cheerful and wonderful. I have been marveling at our new driveway all evening. It is buttery smooth and perfect. I love that we were able to put our children's handprints in the sidewalk area as well. Overall this company did a fantastic job but there are a few things that I think others should be aware of. Based on the reviews I read on the web, I decided to "pay a little extra" to get a company that was so highly rated. This was a great decision.
The bad: Once I had provided a down payment, communication ceased. I could never reach anyone in their office. Noone would answer the phone and the voicemail was full, not accepting new messages. I tried texting as well, still nothing. I was on the verge of trying to cancel the contract because I thought I had been scammed when a friend of mine said there were a lot of people at my house tearing up the driveway.
The overall experience was great. This company if a fire and forget company. They do what they say and they deliver quality product. You just don't need to follow up on them as you do most contractors. They get the job done.
