They also put footings all around the perimeter of the patio and used more rebar than the competitors as a standard. The crew led by Antonio, was very professional and easy to work with.

I watched them throughout the day and couldn't believe how they did it all. We had approximately 540 sqft of concrete that needed to be torn out and replaced. These men are so strong and such hard workers! They made it look effortless. They started at 8am and finished around 6pm, leaving the yard and sidewalk/ street very clean. They ensured our sprinkler system worked properly and even fixed things that had nothing to do with the driveway! They were so cheerful and wonderful. I have been marveling at our new driveway all evening. It is buttery smooth and perfect. I love that we were able to put our children's handprints in the sidewalk area as well. Install Concrete Patios, Walks and Steps The Mt. Olive Construction crew added a 24 X 14 concrete foundation for a new back porch addition to our house. They seamlessly joined the new foundation to the existing house slab and finished the surface with a stamped pattern. The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly to complete the job. They were very polite and respectful. I was pleased when I checked the slab and found it to be perfectly square and level. After our contractor completed the construction of the new porch, the concrete floor was stained and sealed. The end result was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this company in a heartbeat. We are truly satisfied and happy customers.

The sidewalk located from the driveway to the front porch at her home had fallen and needed replacing before listing it to sell. I found Mt. Olive online as I do not live in Texas & didnâ  t know any one at this location. I called Rodney and he came out that day to look at the job and quote a price. I agreed and he scheduled the job. Bad Weather caused a slight delay but no problem. The work was done on the first good weather day and all I can say is... WOW did those men do a fantastic and beautiful job!! The men tore out the old concrete, reformed new, added steel, poured concrete and finished with a brush finish to match other concrete. I highly recommend this company. Very fair price and excellent work. They get 5 stars from this customer with my thanks!

The work was done on the first good weather day and all I can say is... WOW did those men do a fantastic and beautiful job!! The men tore out the old concrete, reformed new, added steel, poured concrete and finished with a brush finish to match other concrete. I highly recommend this company. The Mt. Olive Construction crew added a 24 X 14 concrete foundation for a new back porch addition to our house. They seamlessly joined the new foundation to the existing house slab and finished the surface with a stamped pattern. The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly to complete the job. They were very polite and respectful. I was pleased when I checked the slab and found it to be perfectly square and level. After our contractor completed the construction of the new porch, the concrete floor was stained and sealed. The end result was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this company in a heartbeat. We are truly satisfied and happy customers.

The job was finished quickly and to our specifications. Mt Olive removed all the old decomposed granite that was there, moved a drain to fix our drainage issue, then installed a stamped concrete patio addition. These guys are not only solid from a business standpoint, but REALLY good at what they do. And the value is excellent. We asked them to replace 2 patio areas approximating 400 sf. I always look for responsiveness and whether the contractor does what they say they will do. Details are important. They handled all the permitting, scheduling around other contractors involved in our patio replacements, and the follow-through was also prompt and thorough. I will be a return customer in the future for other planned work. Highly recommend this company!

This is truly the best Concrete company out there. The crew at Mt. Olive is very professional and courteous. They are an extremely hard working crew and know all the details it takes to make your concrete needs a reality. They did an excellent job on the Slab I had poured explaining to me every detail along the way. They also poured over 1500 sq. ft. of flat work and added a drain which works great! They were always on time and completed the work quickly. Rodney and his crew kept you informed of each step along the way. Great work and great job done!

Rodney was great in giving us plenty of options of what his company could do for us. He explained to us what should be done to make it more that just a block of concrete, i.e. color of concrete, design and sealant. A week later,he and his crew of 6 showed up and we had a fantastic new concrete patio the next afternoon. They over-laid the old patio with new concrete and it came out looking better than I could imagine. Eaton, Antonio and the rest of the men were polite, efficient and professional. Based on the reviews I read on the web, I decided to "pay a little extra" to get a company that was so highly rated. This was a great decision.
The bad: Once I had provided a down payment, communication ceased. I could never reach anyone in their office. Noone would answer the phone and the voicemail was full, not accepting new messages. I tried texting as well, still nothing. I was on the verge of trying to cancel the contract because I thought I had been scammed when a friend of mine said there were a lot of people at my house tearing up the driveway.
The overall experience was great. This company if a fire and forget company. They do what they say and they deliver quality product. You just don't need to follow up on them as you do most contractors. They get the job done. I would not expect communication from the office personnel but you will get a great job done from them.

This company management and crew rocks! I was in the process of adding a patio cover to yard. I had Mt Olive Concrete Works to pour a concrete overlay with a decorative custom stamping on existing concrete area that was 15 years ago that would not blend in with the existing concrete area. I wanted to have a backyard entertainment area that would wow my guest when they’re are over for a backyard bar-b-que or social entertainment. The workmanship of the crew and caring management to walk me through the entire process was well done. I cannot wait until the concrete cues to allow them to return and the seal the stamp concrete surface. The had mention on their site they serve McKinney, Fort Worth, and Dallas. They do serve southern Dallas County (DeSoto, Texas)! Lastly, the crew completely clean up my back yard, swept debris off my driveway, and haul off excess dirt from my premise. Olive or third party) regarding when staining/highlights and sealing will be completed...i understand it is imperative to ensure concrete is fully cured and dry prior to sealing, but no one has contacted me or been back to verify present condition of slab. Failure to contact or follow-up can greatly reduce Mt. Olives credibility with this and future projects...i hope this isn't the case.

They actually built the frames and poured before they thought they could which was good. The only issue which took 1 call was clean-up. The forms were not removed and hauled away quickly. I would hire them again because the work was good and the slab looks good. Ready for my new shed!

We also asked them to add a colored-stamped slab to back of our house that needed to match an existing slab. Chris and his team were fantastic. He came out on time for the quote--which was low compared to the others listed on this site (although all of them were very nice too). His team showed up on time to do the work. They were all very polite and respectful. They did a great job of pouring the cement and stamping it. They are scheduled to come back and seal it in a couple of weeks. I would re-hire them tomorrow if we had a reason to need more work like this. Absolutely recommend them!

As for looking for a company to do work like this--beware that many do not specialize in smaller jobs like these. If they don't--you will pay for the extra concrete even if you don't use it. Chris's quote was more than reasonable and much less than the the other companies who gave us quotes. All that to say, if you think the amount seems high--KEEP LOOKING (or call Mt. Olive). You need to find a company that specializes in smaller cement orders. We found that isn't always easy to find. We were very thankful to have Home Advisors.

The turnaround time was relatively short considering their workload, but we had to be flexible in the window of time given. Didn't really pose too much of a problem. The only problem was the fact that they are not skilled/trained in relocating sprinkler heads, only capping them. Therefore, we had to hire another company to do that.

Chris, the contractor on the job, is knowledgable, competent, and pleasant. The work crew worked hard and completed the job in two days. My experience with Mt Olive was excellent and I would contract them again.
