These men are so strong and such hard workers! They made it look effortless. They started at 8am and finished around 6pm, leaving the yard and sidewalk/ street very clean. They ensured our sprinkler system worked properly and even fixed things that had nothing to do with the driveway! They were so cheerful and wonderful. The Mt. Olive Construction crew added a 24 X 14 concrete foundation for a new back porch addition to our house. They seamlessly joined the new foundation to the existing house slab and finished the surface with a stamped pattern. The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly to complete the job. They were very polite and respectful. I was pleased when I checked the slab and found it to be perfectly square and level. After our contractor completed the construction of the new porch, the concrete floor was stained and sealed. The end result was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this company in a heartbeat. We are truly satisfied and happy customers.

The sidewalk located from the driveway to the front porch at her home had fallen and needed replacing before listing it to sell. I found Mt. Olive online as I do not live in Texas & didnâ  t know any one at this location. I called Rodney and he came out that day to look at the job and quote a price. I agreed and he scheduled the job. Bad Weather caused a slight delay but no problem. The work was done on the first good weather day and all I can say is... WOW did those men do a fantastic and beautiful job!! The men tore out the old concrete, reformed new, added steel, poured concrete and finished with a brush finish to match other concrete. I highly recommend this company. This is an amazing company. I was in town after my sister died to take care of her affairs. The sidewalk located from the driveway to the front porch at her home had fallen and needed replacing before listing it to sell. I found Mt. Olive online as I do not live in Texas & didnâ� � t know any one at this location.
I called Rodney and he came out that day to look at the job and quote a price. I agreed and he scheduled the job. Bad Weather caused a slight delay but no problem. The work was done on the first good weather day and all I can say is... WOW did those men do a fantastic and beautiful job!! The men tore out the old concrete, reformed new, added steel, poured concrete and finished with a brush finish to match other concrete. I highly recommend this company. Mt Olive removed all the old decomposed granite that was there, moved a drain to fix our drainage issue, then installed a stamped concrete patio addition. Had a curved driveway installed in front yard by Mt Olive. Crew was extremely professional and hard working. They did the little things that make a difference. For example, they checked every sprinkler head, capped them off where appropriate, moved some of the zone valves, and tested them. Would definitely use them again.

These guys are not only solid from a business standpoint, but REALLY good at what they do. And the value is excellent. We asked them to replace 2 patio areas approximating 400 sf. I always look for responsiveness and whether the contractor does what they say they will do. Details are important. They handled all the permitting, scheduling around other contractors involved in our patio replacements, and the follow-through was also prompt and thorough. I will be a return customer in the future for other planned work. Highly recommend this company!

Rodney was great in giving us plenty of options of what his company could do for us. He explained to us what should be done to make it more that just a block of concrete, i.e. color of concrete, design and sealant. A week later,he and his crew of 6 showed up and we had a fantastic new concrete patio the next afternoon. They over-laid the old patio with new concrete and it came out looking better than I could imagine. Eaton, Antonio and the rest of the men were polite, efficient and professional. Based on the reviews I read on the web, I decided to "pay a little extra" to get a company that was so highly rated. This was a great decision. The bad: Once I had provided a down payment, communication ceased. I could never reach anyone in their office. Noone would answer the phone and the voicemail was full, not accepting new messages. I tried texting as well, still nothing. I was on the verge of trying to cancel the contract because I thought I had been scammed when a friend of mine said there were a lot of people at my house tearing up the driveway. This company management and crew rocks! I was in the process of adding a patio cover to yard. I had Mt Olive Concrete Works to pour a concrete overlay with a decorative custom stamping on existing concrete area that was 15 years ago that would not blend in with the existing concrete area. I wanted to have a backyard entertainment area that would wow my guest when they’re are over for a backyard bar-b-que or social entertainment. The workmanship of the crew and caring management to walk me through the entire process was well done. I cannot wait until the concrete cues to allow them to return and the seal the stamp concrete surface. The had mention on their site they serve McKinney, Fort Worth, and Dallas. They do serve southern Dallas County (DeSoto, Texas)! Lastly, the crew completely clean up my back yard, swept debris off my driveway, and haul off excess dirt from my premise. Olive or third party) regarding when staining/highlights and sealing will be completed...i understand it is imperative to ensure concrete is fully cured and dry prior to sealing, but no one has contacted me or been back to verify present condition of slab. Failure to contact or follow-up can greatly reduce Mt. Olives credibility with this and future projects...i hope this isn't the case.

I had nearly 600 ft of concrete poured, all done in a single day. They were considerate in moving anything in my yard they needed to. They had to take down part of my fence since I only have one side with yard access, and they put it back better than I had originally installed it! I would highly recommend this group.

We also asked them to add a colored-stamped slab to back of our house that needed to match an existing slab. Chris and his team were fantastic. He came out on time for the quote--which was low compared to the others listed on this site (although all of them were very nice too). His team showed up on time to do the work. They were all very polite and respectful. They did a great job of pouring the cement and stamping it. They are scheduled to come back and seal it in a couple of weeks. I would re-hire them tomorrow if we had a reason to need more work like this. Absolutely recommend them! As for looking for a company to do work like this--beware that many do not specialize in smaller jobs like these. If they don't--you will pay for the extra concrete even if you don't use it. Project was a 40 x 60 Concrete Slab intended as a foundation for a metal building. Mr. Dole suggested a better design than the city required and provided drawings for the permit application. The crew came in and created the forms to provide the guide for trenching then finished the forms, called for inspection, and arranged for the concrete. They made adjustments for the level with sand back fill. Installed the rebar, poured the concrete without a pump, and completed the job within a week. Excellent workmanship and the best quote. Definitely would recommend Mt. Olive Concrete Works to anyone.

He followed-up, and the crew arrived during the time-frame stated. I saw that they took all the steps indicated in advance, and the final product represented a job well done. I wish I would have hired Mt. Olive the first time because Mt. Olive's work represented work done because my sidewalk was not done correctly the first time by another contractor. I plan to engage ServiceMagic for my major contractor needs.

They extended our concrete patio and came up with a unique curved design that really adds a lot to the backyard. They also installed a superb custom arbor. Very professional.

I interviewed 10+ concrete companies and thankfully, decided on Rodney & Mt. Olive. Rodney met at our house over 50 miles away. He presented their products, showed enthusiasm about our vision and a cooperative strategy moving forward. Once we decided on Mt. Olive, I left town for a week, giving Rodney the keys to the house. I came home to unbelievably beautiful concrete floors. Professionally executed, quality control was fantastic and the product lived up to expectations.
